Auburn isn’t looking to hand out a “W” to undefeated and No. 1 Alabama heading into the upcoming Iron Bowl. When the questions after Auburn’s 55-0 win over Alabama A&M turned toward the Tide, the Tigers met them with great respect.
“They’re a good football team,” sophomore linebacker Deshaun Davis said. “They’re No. 1 in the nation.”
But Davis is also quick to say that the Tigers won’t be intimidated by the lone undefeated team in the Power 5 conferences — one that is a unanimous No. 1 with a secure place in the SEC Championship Game.
“It won’t be a cakewalk,” Davis said. “We just have to go in and prepare and just play Auburn football. They’re a college football team, we’re a college football team. You’ve got to respect them.” [according to Sec Country]
